Letter before claim
Should I continue to ignore this or email Moorside with the generic reponse (below for ease of reference).
Many thanks for your help in advance.
Dear Sirs,
Your ref: [insert reference number]
Proposed legal proceedings
Claimant: [insert name of parking company]
I refer to your letter of claim.
I confirm that my address for service for the time being is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:
[Insert correct address here]
You should revert to your client because the 'propensity to pay' score in my case is zero, so any claim is hopeless and a waste of the court fee (whether 'fronted' by your firm or not). Move on to weaker victims.
The alleged 'debt' is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.
Yours faithfully,

Respond using the template, because its confirming the correct address for the service of papers2

If they have not used the protocol compliant LBC and proceed to a court claim then it is something extra to add in to your defence.

Thanks this is helpful. Although I note the link only refers to the letter of claim rather than the letter before claimfatbelly said:If they have not used the protocol compliant LBC and proceed to a court claim then it is something extra to add in to your defence.1 -
Same thing, they have several acronyms. LOC/LBC/LBA/LBCCCDownwithpcm said:

Hi again
I have only now received the a proper letter before claim with the 30 deadline (letter dated 16th Feb). Should I send Moorside an email with the template above? If so would you suggest registering for the portal in order to do this?
thank you in advance0 -
Use the suggested response from the NEWBIE sticky and if they won't accept it by email, there are several regulars who have posted that there is nothing to lose by using the portal.

They make it pretty darn difficult to contact them. The email came back with an automatic reply saying the inbox isn’t monitored and the only contact option via the portal is to request a callback…

But you don't want 'contact'. Can you not submit something via the Portal?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I emailed both help@moorsidelegal.co.uk and LitigationTeam@moorsidelegal.co.uk last week regarding my LOC, and at least one of those worked, because I got a response the next day.
