Screeding ground floor foundation help

Hi the ground floor foundation in extension new build is concrete.
What types of screeds are there?
Is it ok to directly put screed on top of the concrete or what preparations we must do to concrete floor before screeding and what is the maximum thickness depth of the screed floor layer that is allowed for building regulations?

I had an extension built two years ago.
After the slab there was a thick layer of insulation to which the underfloor heating was fixed and then the whole screeded with hydroscreed.0 -
Too many variables to be able to comment.
Where is your insulation layer, what product, how deep? Any existing finished floor levels that you're looking to match to? Who did the design for the concrete slab, they should have a view on maximum screed thickness? Are you installing any underfloor heating pipes or conduit in the screed? Vertical insulation strips at perimeter of screed?
I definitely wouldn't DIY it myself without getting specialist advice on type and thickness.0 -

But you are the lone wolf here. Look at the tone of the replies. Look at how many people are chipping in. Then see that over 1000 posts have been made by OP and only 3 thanks have ever been given. Then consider that folks who provide helpful answers end up despairing and dropping out.0 -

Insulation is under the concrete base, yeah want to match floor levels to existing house. No underfloor heating.
Looking to lay 22mm gas pipes by a gas safe engineer on the concrete base before covering it with screed. This saves the labour digging a channel in concrete screed for gas pipes.
What is the criteria for laying gas pipes in solid floors anyway?
Vertical insulation strips mandatory for building regs? Damp proof course already there at perimeter.
