Gourds/ Squashes

Last year I decided I'd like to carve some of the more unusual squashes/gourds for Halloween. I saw some in Sainsburys last year, which is where I got the idea. I haven't seen any at all this year, except at Abel and Cole and I've missed their delivery. Has anyone else seen any about?
I thought they would look great carved and would make lovely soup afterwards - I remember the discussion about tasteless carving pumpkins last year.

Suspect it's either a bit too early yet for the supermarkets, or that they were not a success, and too expensive to import.0

Try a farm shop, your local WI market or ask at the allotment site.0

Yes, same here. Never thought to look in Aldi. Will be making a quick trip tomorrow. Is it just me or do they really "look" like autumn.
Thank you for all your replies, ladies. :beer:0
