Facebook Lets shout 'No to L&S'!!!

If it helps, this is the message I've been sending to companies on FB recently. A couple have immediately altered their comps to Rafflecopter entry which I count as a success!

Hi there, I hope you don't mind me messaging you but a lot of people have recently had their accounts closed, locked or suspended by Facebook who are cracking down on rule breaches.

"Like and share" competitions are against Facebook regulations and the companies running them have had their Facebook pages closed and removed without warning.

The people who have liked and shared these pages as a competition entry also are being frozen out of their accounts.

When I've seen compers who have drawn attention to the l&s issue on competition posts, I've liked their comment.

May help draw attention to it if these comments have a lot of likes too.

So pleased something is starting to be done about the like and share I hate them and have commented on a couple of comps I entered to that effect. Just done the like bit. I so hope we get some action on this as it is stopping a lot of compers from doing the Facebook comps.

Yes I was starting to feel a little like I was missing out with all the L&S comps going on and not wanting to enter as fear of losing my fb account

Just commented and left the ipm guidelines link on Bliss Spa's latest like and share competition.

Great efforts peeps! If we can get more companies to change the way they run their comps then we can pat ourselves on the back and claim success! At least then we won't be scared of entering for fear of getting thrown off Facebook. Facebook aren't going to do anything about it - so it seems to be left to us!

When I get a chance throughout the next few days I'll message 5 or so at a time. My feed is usually full of 'Like & Shares' as I have about 200 comping friends :eek:

I don't want to end up with a Facebook ban for sending too many messages
