Bank status enquiry for tenacy - worried

Hi, I've been worrying so much about this, I just hope there's someone here who knows more about this kind of thing so I know what to expect.

I'm about to rent a flat with some friends and I found out today that I need to fill in a form to give to my bank so that they can provide a reference for the agency. Most of the time, my bank balance is fine and I've probably had the account for about 5 or 6 years but in that time, I've had just a few (I think about 2) short accidental unauthorized overdrafts when I'd forgotton to transfer more money in and hadn't realised it had gone overdrawn. The most recent one was only about a month or so ago and it was overdrawn by just under £100 for about 3 days. :/ I am a student and I have a parent as a guarantor for the rent so I'm hoping this won't matter but I just can't stop worrying about it possibly ruining the whole thing. Does anyone have any advice about whether this is likely to be a problem? Thank you.

Whats done is done, pointless worrying about something you have no control over.
Having a guarantor will help a great deal and will most likely be ok
  • Thanks, yeah, I hope so. The thing is, we're moving in very soon and I'm sure they won't be able to get the results of the status enquiry before that anyway, so hopefully they won't see it as too important. I'm still worried, though.
