Piece of string question really as it depends on where you are but as a guide in SE Wales we pay
£15 a month water (on a meter)
£100 a month gas and electric
£92 a month (x10) council tax
£61 a month broadband/phone/tv
£30 a month buildings and contents insurance
£12 a month for TV licence
Thats for a 1950s 4 bed semi0 -
Electricity - £24 pm
Gas - £43 pm
Water - £23 x 10 per year
Council - £100 x 10 per year
For a 2 bedroom house
Also remember that you would need insurance; at least a building insurance....but also factor in contents insurance as well...
Tv license I believe is about £142.50 right now.
You probably need to factor in phone, broadband bills as well....
Good luck!0 -
In a 2 bed flat in central Manchester:
£95 service charge
£25 electricity
£25 water
£12 BT line rental
£10 internet
£12 TV licence
£180 Council Tax (but only 10 months a year)
£125 a year ground rent
We have buildings insurance included in the service charge but should really get some contents insurance sorted.0 -
I live in a 2 bed flat in South Wales, but live on my own. I pay:
£50 electric (no gas at property)
£27 phoneline/internet
£12 tv licence
£80 council tax
I bought an annual contents insurance policy which was £58 but that was half price offer. I've never had a water bill (been here since Aug) but I put aside £30/month into a savings account for when the bill comes!
