Hi beanielou
Try not to be too hard on yourself hey! Your anger is a good sign cos it means you want to change the situation, maybe you can channel it into working really hard at something dfw style! Good luck
Ok then, my goals for last week were:
Spend as little as possible to make up for last week's huge gas and elec bill Yep, spent not much at all. Home with parents who have paid for food, takeaways etc :smileyhea
Get my shopping fix by spending some of the £55 in various vouchers I have (hmv, whsmith, high street). These are payments for little jobs I've done just to buy some treats for myself so enjoy spending some (not all!). Nope (but not bad really!), been busy with uni work so no time for shopping :j
Make nice food at home for lunch rather than always going to nice sandwhich shop in town, maybe allow this once as a treat! Yep, only had this once!
Start clear out of my room into "keep", "ebay", "charity shop", "freecycle" and "bin" categories Nope, busy with uni work. Will try this one next week.
Don't get bored and buy stuff on ebay! Keep busy by investigating new version of turbolister and listing stuff (see above). No buying :j but no listing either
Don't eat too much chocolate Ummm.... well..... maybe not quite. Have only had one lindt bunny, much less than I used to have, with easter as my excuse!
So this coming week my goals are:
Use vouchers if I feel the need to shop.
Don't buy anything on ebay,
Make lunch at home instead of going into town.
Start sorting room. Add as much as possible to turbolister (about 20 items already there) and list all on tuesday, 15p day :j
Thats about all I think.
Good luck everyoneDon't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now... Avenue QOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 003Proud to have become debt free... and striving to keep it that way

Last weeks were:
1) Try to spend no more than £100 including petrol money when visiting DH's parents over the bank holiday. - about £105 because we had to stop at a service station to buy food as my morning sickness was bad. Otherwise we did loads, but only spent the minimum
2) catch up on washing/ironing before Thursday, so i'll go back to work after the bank holiday without worrying about it. did lots of washing - still have some ironing to do, but i have enough clothes to wear for work this week
3) finish 2 mini-cross stitches before going back to work.didn't touch - got distracted by my 2nd job starting a couple of weeks earlier than planned, so trying to get ahead there
4) go get all veg needed for less than £10, and use new slow cooker to make at least 2 meals with freezable leftovers this week spent around £9.40. Used the SC once, but managed to freeze leftovers on 3 occasions. Shouldn't have to cook much this week :j
5) have another look at the budget to boost my savings - got as far as working out we need new car tyres for both cars, so we need to squeeze this out of the next 5 to 6 months budget
New goals:
1) For me to not personally spend any money this week until the main shop next weekend. DH may have some business expenses, so i'll try to limit him to that.
2) work out what money can be transferred to savings over the next month, and then organise transfers.
3) find out when deadlines are for main job over may-june, so i can then get on with them early to allow for time to do my 2nd job
4) investigate train costs/times for me to go on a course in a few weeks.
5) Take packed lunch every day this week.
Good luck everyone :rotfl:0 -

Total debts ???***
Well I think they are going down, only time, a divorce, selling up & moving on will tell !!
Forever optomistic.... Positive thinking.0 -
Well, I didn't do one last week as I'd only just started my job in London a couple of weeks ago (which cost me £165.00 of travelling and eating).
Last week I didn't do one as we moved to the new office and I didn't know what facilities we had there.
So my goals for this week are:- Have at least 1 no spend day.
- Try to get £20.00 put into my savings account
- Stop using tumble dryer and put clothes on rotary line outside.
Not many at the mo, but as I said, getting to know the area and the facilities for lunch at the moment.
