Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    Last week:

*Contact Glamour re: cancelling magazine subscription - nope
*Keep the spending diary going - kinda...
*Collect another 2 x £2 to take my total to £148 - done!
*Use the cinema card and go at least once this week - not done!
*Get the car MOTeeeeeeeed - nope!
*Pay cheque into bank - done!
*Do balance tranfer on to new Egg card card & reduce balance on Tesco credit card - did it yesterday, should be processed within next 7 days
*Spend 15 mins per day doing housework and not a minute longer! - kinda, didn't do 15 mins every day, but did an average over the week!

All in all, a pretty bad week but I reckon that was because I was off work for most of the week!

    And so for next week:

    *keep the spending diary going
*collect another 2 x £2 coins to take my total to £158
    *get the car MOTeeeeeed!
*spring clean my bedroom on Monday
*get rid of the box of junk in the utility room (dump I think!)
*deal with any letters as and when regarding reclaiming bank charges
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

............I'm having a colonoscopy on Wednesday

Is that the same as a sigmoidoscopy (camera up the jacksey to be blunt)? If so, I had one of those about 2.5 years ago......interesting.. ;)

Forgot to post my goals for this week:

    1) No shop bought lunches for work - all home made
    2) Pay £100 off HSBC CC - would normally be more, but I need to leave money in account to pay for hols :D will pay more next month
    3) Send off DD for HSBC CC to cover minimum payments - won't be only paying this.......just to make sure the min is paid incase I'm ever late with the monthly payment (also, already sent one DD mandate on 13/3 which they received and never acted upon...........is this one of their tactics?)
    4) Sort mum out with her money for next 4 weeks (I'm her appointee)
    5) Sort out DD to cover mum's insurance - only had the form since January :o

Can't think of any others at the mo :D

    My goals last week were:

Do not spend any money unless it is on essential food or bus fare or posting a birthday card (I need to do that...) Erm, yes I think so but maybe not..! I did only spend on bus fare once and arranged lifts all the other days. I went out on Friday but that was something already arranged weeks ago and I sorted lifts so I didn't have to pay taxi fares. Spent minimal cash on drinks...so did ok. Had three no spends days too (if you include today) so quite happy especially as one of them was another pre arranged night out but it turned out to be a free night - yay!

Do not use tumble dryer more than once. Used once.

Get some early nights. Erm, I think I did at least a couple anyway!

    This week's targets are:

    1. Only spend on some stamps and bus fare if I have to (trying to arrange lifts again) and a few fresh veggies on Wednesday. No other money allowed apart from that!
    2. No tumble dryer use this week (caught up on washing today so shouldn't have to)
    3. List a book on Amazon.
    4. Have a mini wardrobe tidy/arrange to see if there is anything that could go on EBAY.
    5. Do some exercise!!

    Good luck everyone!
Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
    Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

LOL, yes they're going to take pretty pictures of my botty!! Apparently a colonoscopy goes further inside than a sigmoidoscopy and is therefore more 'uncomfortable'...deep joy

Mine went far enough thank you very much!! I had a lovely Sri Lankan nurse patting me on the head and pushing me back down the bed!! I hadn't realised that the further the camera went in, the further up the bed I was climbing :D

Hi all - my week got poleaxed towards the start with a run of bad headaches, which has scuppered several goals <sigh>

Goals for this week: (w/c 9/4/06)
    1. 2 no-spend days - 3!!
    2. Update accounts spreadsheet - Achieved. Very interesting to do as it was a strange pay period that took in two end of months and the cost of spending a bonus received in a previous period - so it looks horrendous but all pans out in the big picture on the spreadsheet.
    3. Tidy desk + declutter - no, a knock-on from the headaches. All my productive time is Mon-Fri and I lost the front half of the week and Fri this week, so just haven't had time for a big sorting out.
    4. Use Serena's flapjack recipe and if they turn out okay take to Playgroup event - Nope. Again, no chance to do this for its intended Tuesday morning timescale.
    5. Do groundwork for building website for Playgroup - event too busy to chat to the person concerned and I worked flat out anyway.
    6. Regularise meals and cut portion sizes - questionable whether I've done anything about the former but the latter is going well.
    7. Go to the Farmer's Market early - Nope, I *might* have made this on a 'normal' day, but with OH home (Good Fri) then it felt like a Sat instead, not least because the alarm was no longer for 6am...

Sorry about all the excuses :)

Goals for this week (w/c 16/4/06)
    1. Two no spend days
    2. Transfer money from Halifax
    3. Drink a glass of water every time I touch the water filter ie fill kettle or saucepan!
    4. Spend as little on food as possible
    5. Sort something... desk, filing, clothes, whatever!
    6. Keep on-the-spot spending diary up to date
    7. Get off the bus a stop earlier
Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending
    £2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:

ROFL. My sister had a sigmoidwhatsit a few months back and was amazed at the pain, and she has a very high pain threshold! I told the Doc if I was having a camera inserted so high it could see daylight out my mouth then I wanted a general. No he says, but you can be sedated!! Thanks lol

    Last week:

    1) - List box of books on Amazon. No, this is the third week running I haven't done this! :o If I don't do it this week, then I will take the entire box of books to the charity shop and therefore lose out on potential earnings for the wedding fund!
    2) - Five no spend days, food shopping for the week has already been done and I can't think of anything else I need to buy. Think I managed this, the only money I remember spending was a fiver in the pub on Wednesday!?
    3) - Have meeting with Mum as we are going into partnership with a business idea. Need to decide on a logo and which stock to buy first. Half done, we have decided which stock to buy, but no closer to deciding on/designing a logo.
    4) - Continue with healthy eating and aim for 3 exercise sessions of at least 30 minutes each this week. Stuck to healthy eating about 75% of the time and went on two walks.

    This weeks goals...

    1) - Find somewhere to go for my birthday day out on Saturday that's fairly cheap and fairly close. Take a picnic to keep food costs down.
    2) - Save all spare change towards above day out.
    3) - Go to library.
    4) - List those bl***y books on Amazon or they go to the charity shop on 24th April!
    5) - Order stock for business.
    6) - Continue with healthy eating and aim for three exercise sessions of 30 minutes each.

I don't have a high pain threshold at all......hence the climbing up the bed!! I was offered a sedative, but I took one look at all the OAP's in there and thought it wouldn't be fair to take up a bed while the sedative wore off.

Actually, I don't think it was the camera that was the uncomfortable bit......it was the tube blowing the air up there to open everything up so the camera has a nice view!! Blow any more up there I would have been floating off the bed never mind climbing off!!

Anyway, hope it all goes well :p
