Daft question and probably one for custardy is it possible to use Isle of Man issued stamps to send post within England?

No it's not possible (their postal rates are slightly lower) - I grew up there and my brother lives there.
But their bank notes are OK anywhere, if you can find a shop that will believe you.0 -
No, Isle of Man stamps are only for use within the Isle of Man.
Two types of stamps are sold at IOM post offices - those for use within the island and those to send post 'across' to the mainland, which are slightly more expensive.0 -

I was told by Royal Mail you can use Isle
of Man stamps because when their Harry
Potter Stamps came out and they were
lovely I used to use them on my overseas
parcels or if I sold anything Harry Potter
related.Still have some left to use on
my Knight Bus parcel when I list it.:j:j:j0 -
When my mother was staying with us in the UK she accidentally used Manx stamps from her purse to send postcards, and they were all treated as having no valid postage paid.0
