Our local Barrett's has suddenly become a Payless Shoe shop - full of really trendy boots; quality doesn't seem high end but if you want something for just a season they are great.  I found a great pair of knee high black boots for my chubby legs and they fit great.

And I have found Evans great for shoes and boots - their new stuff is quite nice...even better as so many don't know that the accesories and shoes etc fit anyone   :)  My favorite trainers are from Evans - lovely pink and martial arts types, cost me £12!

Looks like I'm going to be checking out Evans then this week-end, then M & S and if all else fails will have to take out a 2nd mortgage and try Duo.

Thanks all for giving me some new ideas
    Nice to save.

I got the perfect pair of boots at Primark! But they're suede, not leather.

Slightly off topic, but would anyone in their right mind buy boots with pink or white shag pile carpet on the outside? Saw them in one of our local shoe shops the other day and was mind-boggled!

Last year I treated myself to two pairs of boots from Evans - one ankle boots with heel and one pair knee high. They not only fit well but my teenage daughter keeps borrowing them.
PS I kept quiet about where I got them. :):):)
Some people have been very pleased with Tesco but it was no good for me.
