Windows picture and fax viewer

Hi can anyone help me please
My Windows picture and fax viewer seems to have [FONT=&quot]disappeared, whenever I transfer pictures from my camera to my pc, I can't view them in the basic way.
When I go to the folder, all the pictures are in there however there is no mini previews of them just the files that say jpg
When I try to open a picture, I double click on it and nothing happens, I have to right click on it and select open picture with ..... and then use another program.
The strange thing is that windows picture and fax viewer is on that list of other programs!!! but will not open.
Can anyone advise please

Sounds like Windows has lost the file association with jpg.

Open Explorer and click on TOOLS then FOLDER OPTIONS, then click on FILE TYPES, and find the JPG file type.

Click on the CHANGE button and find the program for opening them, it should open up the same Open With dialogue box you're used to.
