get dom!
who watches it? im really interested in doing some haggling, as hes got ppl trying to do. i do notice tho thats its the smaller retailer rather than the high street dealers he goes for, but i could do with having a go at this for baby items of the bigger kind lol, anyone ever haggled a price down in the shops?

I've got the price knocked down in garages by offering cash, instead of credit card.

I've wondered about this prog ... he gets them to haggle in the smaller shops, where the profit margin is actually the owner's income; and also, couldn't they probably get a lower price in the chain-shops anyway?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I've done this in currys on a fridge/freezer (had a slight dent in the side which would be up by the wall anyway!) and my telly. In comet on my washing machine & cooker. At the market for DS echo trackie etc etc. I do it all the time - how cheeky do you want to be? The worst that can happen is that they say no, then off you go to a different shop. It can be fun - good luck

youd have thought you could get a discount in the chain shops tbh, unless you get all the palava of them saying they have to ask head office etc, but i do agree, he is good lol0

i have done it a few times, on a bed in courts, b&q for my kitchen, think we did it on a sofa somewhere, on my husbands car, my range cooker in comet, freezer in currys. Your not going to be able to doit in somewhere like argos or tesco but in places like currys etc and owned shops you can always try. I always search around on the internet 1st to know what i will be willing to pay.Still TryingGrocery challenge July 2016

I think sometimes goods/services are inflated and although they dont want you to haggle its built into the price for example buying a car or buying a 2nd hand item. You haggle get some discount you walk away happy not paying the full asking price and they walk away thinking they got what they wanted anyhow minus a small amount off which they added anyhow on the price0

Hi, i can say that i have too watched this show and it has enabled me to get discounts i never dreamed of asking for, like many other people you just pay the shelf price. i ordered a carpet from carpetright and it came to £170 pounds, after asking for discount he did £155 then i told him that the fitter who worked for them was a friend so he took it down to £142. I wanted a laptop in the xmas sale which was 499 and in sale was 399 took mum who wanted a dvd/recoreder which was 129, started to haggle got a laptop bag and memory stick inscluded aswell as 6%of total price of dvd and laptop. tokk mil to buy a carpet which was given a £600 total and i haggled and got it to 516...........if you dont ask you dont get!!always on the lookout for a bargin always better when its free!!:T0

I've haggled £50 off a £349.00 laptop as well as getting a webcam and dvd-rw's for free in curry's. also got £240 knocked off a pair of sofa's that were £600 in a sale so go for it as even if you only get £10 knocked off that's £10 in your pocket and not theirs lol
I think with todays prices on things we can't afford not to haggle.1st son born 11/02/05 2nd son born 09/01/08
thats all i'm adding to the human race so think yourselfs lucky lol0
