Post count on a thread

Is there any way the number of the post shown at the top of each individual contribution could be changed from e.g. #6 to #6/25 (i.e. showing the total number of posts currently on that thread - in my example post 6 of 25)?

Sometimes I get sidetracked, and/or forget to look at the number of replies on the forum index before opening a thread, so while reading, I have no idea how many more replies there are to get to the end. For some reason my PC doesn't display the far right of the screen unless I scroll across, so I am always opening threads without any idea as to how long they are.

It's not a major problem, but if it just took a simple tweak to the software, I thought it would make things easier. Obviously on current threads the number of replies will keep changing, but a snapshot based on the time of opening the thread would be quite helpful.
:D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D
