Summer Holiday 2009 - general consensus?

Hi all you lovely people

I really want to go on a family holiday next summer. The last time we went abroad was in 2002 when we got married in Cyprus, I was 7mths pregnant and other ds was 22mths old.

I was wondering what you all thought on here, is it cheaper to book as far in advance as possible, or as last minute as possible.

I'm really torn and can think of a few pro's and con's for each method.

So what do you think??

Me x

    Hi

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). I personally think that when there is a group of you it is better to book in advance as the so called 'cheap' last minute deals dont exist if you want to go somewher with reasonable standards. We go away next month to Egypt, and we have already booked for next year! Prices for holidays next year seem to be quite expensive from what I have looked at (and ive looked at alot!), but we ended up booking online with Thomas Cook as they have a 10% discount on at the moment as well as discount for group bookings. Our holiday price with them for next year was a good 500 pounds cheaper than anywhere else, and thats with the added security of booking it with a well known hoilday company in TCook.

    Good Luck!!

i think 4 of you should try book in advance, put a deposit down, pay a bit off every month, book ealry to get free child places. i did this with my family saved a lot as well as the fuel supplements are due to go up. because of the oil prices
i will be debt free, i will
