Free Internet Telephony

Hi Not sure if this has been covered by Martins money tips but there is a free download on the internet called SKype that allows you to call people via your computer rather than your telephone. (Using a headset/Headphones - soundcard on your PC)
It is free to download and if you and your friends both have the application you can 'Skype' each other for free (Broadband connection really needed).
Or you can set up a Skype account (really easy) and call a land line or mobile. This is really great when calling overseas and works out about 1p per minute for land lines ... for more details visit http://www.skype.com
We use it for business and pleasure and can now call our friends really cheaply in Oz and have friends that use it with no issues for USA.
So if you are on broadband you'd be mad not to give it a go
cheers - this is my first money saving tip so hope you like it

Looks like a good tip.
Martin has done an article on this subject at http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1096571346,38052,
Also, this is the Credit Cards bit of the forum, I guess this tip would probably fit better in one of the other areas.
But don't let that put you off.
Happy moneysaving0
