Ebay or Amazon ?

I need advice on selling a new & unused outboard engine service and repair manual. New costs over £20.
I've sold items on Ebay successfully but also see that Amazon offer a book selling service.
Which is best for selling this type of book?
All advice appreciated.

You could try putting it on amazon for a few weeks then igf it doesn't shift, put it on ebay. Does amazon stock that particular book?0

Try Craigslist UK (free). If the book is rare, people searching on Google will find it via this site after a week or so. Ebay looks like an expensive way to sell rare items as you need to keep the item there a while and I think Amazon charges the earth.0

I know about Craigslist in the US, especially in New York where it is very popular. However didn't realise they had started here. Do many people use it?"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0 -
I would check amazon, see if they have the item in the data base and if there are any others for sale. You can get an idea of the price from the others. If you fill in the details to list it you will be shown what all the costs will be so you can decide if you want to go ahead and list it - there are no photos needed and no fees till it sells. Even if you think that the fees are a bit steep you may get a better price than on ebay and you wont have any re-list fees.0

Yes. Amazon stock this book and sell it at £20.08 inc free delivery. Mines never been used so perhaps I'll try £17.50 - I'll check their fees etc.

so amazon dont charge any listing fees until the item sells?0

correct - no fees till it sells -you can test out the saleability of your stuff at higher prices then reduce the prices later if you like. You can cancel at any time too and still no fees will be charged0
