Office Outlook 2003 to Vista Windows Mail

Hi folks

I've successfully transferred the contacts from Outlook over to the Vista version, but it's not letting me import the inbox messages or the Calendar.

How can I export the inbox and calendar from Outook to Windows Mail ?

Thanks in advance

I don't think Vista Mail will let you import an Outlook .pst file, which would usually be the standard procedure...

As an aside, I'm puzzled - why are you ditching Outlook for Vista Mail?

was about to say the same.

Vista mail is outlook express equivelent.
  • My wife was given a brand new laptop as a birthday present.

Old tower runs XP, laptop runs Vista.

As my wifes business is progressing, she needs to be able to take her laptop with her recent stuff, so effectively replacing tower set-up with laptop.

Was able to import them to Outlook Express on the tower from Outlook, but when I exported them, they appeared to disappear into the ether. Would there be a file somewhere to look for that the exported messages would be ?

    Thanks again

Can't you just install Outlook onto the new PC?
