Well this month we paid £6.71. However, January is looking rosier as we have just made an £1,100 overpayment this month and then our interest rate falls in January to 1.93%. So January is set for £4.34 which sounds a lot better! Beaten that fiver a day barrier at long last.:TSo far: Council Tax downgrade success and £1,000 refund | Mortgage redemption refund £25.00 | Lightspeed £65.00 | Pigsback £30.00 | Quidco £130.00 | Topcashback £405.00 all courtesy MSE

Wow that's an amazing difference well done!MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0 -

Nice to see this thread pop back up and see some of the changes in people's daily interest.
At it's highest I was paying £29.30 per day  interest but I'm anticipating it's going to be around £10 per day in January, although it's worth nothing that this is largely due to drops in the base rater rather than my overpayments:DMFW Start Date 1.4.08. Updated 23.1.18. MFW date 1.8.18

£6.46. Unfortunately on a fix until July but then hope to make a chunky capital repayment. Still, over the longer period fixes have done us well.0

Mine varies day to day due to the offsets but today's should be about £16.67. That should drop to about £13 from early January when the next rate cut is applied.Adventure before Dementia!0

Mine works out to be £27 a day - it is sobering to think that my first hour or so of work goes straight into the pockets for Mr Halifax. Annoying but has given me the kick I needed to get back on track and reduce it!!!!Taking responsibility for my future!
