do card providers have to give transcripts of calls?

                    Hi
I have 2 credit cards with the same company, and received a call some time ago to say I wasnt allowed to use 1 of them for online gambling transcations. I was told in the phone call that I could still use the other card, but have just had a call to say that since I have used the 2nd card for a gambling transaction, they are now both being cancelled, and changed to repayment only whilst the balance is cleared (which I was going to do in the next fortnight anyway!)
I can pay them off in full, but the advisor told me there was no way his colleague would have told me I could still use the 2nd card. If I'd been advised not to use it, I would have stopped immediately, just as I did with the first card. Do I have any right to request a transcript of the phone calls to see what was actually said - I really resent the advisors implication that I was lying to him and ignoring their instructions!
Thanks

Can you honestly see them owning up to being able to find it? To be honest, unless you can give specific details of date, time and the operator you spoke to I don't think they will even look. Even if you have all that they can say that the call wasn't recorded if it suits them.
I understand your resentment, but if you were going to pay it off anyway then I'd just let it go. Not worth your blood pressure really is it?0
