Thanks to the OP for this link. I love the idea of this but just wish I could get it going!

I have been trying to get my first review submitted. I have been in contact with someone on the site who seems baffled by the problem I am having. I manage to get as far as the review page but neither the QRV nor 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' sections come up; if I type the review and click on 'publish' it just refreshes the page. I was asked to email a screenshot of the page to my contact who thinks that I may be browsing the web with images disabled. He emailed back a screenshot of what I should be seeing and my page is obviously incomplete. He suggested I try Firefox and IE and the same thing happens. I have not had this problem before.
If this has happened to anyone else on here, I'd be really grateful for your advice.

    Many thanks in anticipation!

It looks like a great site, the only problem being that a lot of the companies, I don't deal with and never have. Any plans to bring in product reviews? I have loads of them!

Great idea - I have loads too - could be the next Dooyoo or the likes!

Aurburnette, Thanks so much for that info:j i was having the same problem of not enough businesses listed in the area, but i did as you suggested and have managed to submit a few now.:T

Anyone know if all reasosnable reviews are accepted, or do they chuck any reviews out? I knwo they would if they were vile/rude etc.

  • Great idea for a website, I'm really enjoying searching for places I know and writing reviews! Managed about 3 so far. Do we get an automatic e-mail when we reach 20?

Also wondering the same as miky36 about "reasonable reviews" - I've noticed a few reviews which are simply "great place" !

Hmmm...some people are taking the p*ss a bit with reviews...I think you should attempt to write at least a paragraph that's helpful to others or it shouldn't count towards the £10. For example the Natural History Museum:

    http://www.bview.co.uk/listing/2038178/Natural-History-Museum-in-SW7

There are so many useless reviews on there! I hope they are not MSEers- it's really rude to put no effort into the reviews. As I said before this is somebody's business and those sort of reviews are abusing it. I would hate for this offer to be changed because there are people out there who want £10 for 20 reviews of one sentence. I am going through voting the unhelpful ones as unhelpful. ;)

My review is on there and it is six paragraphs long. I think that's more what the owner of the site wants to see if they're going to continue offering Amazon vouchers...

eta: and look at this! Someone who is clearly just copying and pasting the same review... It really makes me angry. http://www.bview.co.uk/app/frontend/UserProfile?id=QtU9EU3kj_cKR-_EhRbGDAxy&t=reviews

I also reported two reviews for the Natural History Museum as spam - "great products, great prices?" It's a museum for chrissakes!! Sorry to come across as uptight but it's this sort of thing which makes people think twice about offering Amazon vouchers etc in the first place.

    Rant over...
