I stuck lino down with 'no more nails' on a step , that was over five years ago , seemed to have worked.

is it slippy? and did u attach it to wooden steps?
  • Buy two rubber nosings (they are quite wide and are stuck to the edge of the step) they are used for commercial installations but sound perfectly adequate for your circumstances. Go to a carpet shop and get them fitted by a proffesional. If its just 2 steps, then you are looking at a tiny piece of carpet required. Ask for a commercial Heavy domestic wearing carpet. This installation should last you an infinate amount of time, and although the nosings are not cheap, they're worth it for stopping injury.
