travelling money dummy - quick help please

Hi,
Can someone give me some quick advice please? I am going on holiday on Monday and I'm not sure how to manage my finances for funding my trip. Here's my situation:
I have £900 in my savings account (kept by from a gift, not my saving attempt!),
£900 on my A&L cc, with a spending limit of £3500,
£~800 in my current account once I'm paid on Monday (with an o/draft facility of £800).
I can't work out the best way to juggle it all and I'm getting a headache. It seems obvious to pay off the cc with my savings, then use the cc on holiday and get a zero interest BT when I get back - too obvious? I'm going to an EU country, so should I buy a large amount of euro's to take with me?
thanks very much for any help.
V-K.

Odd thing is if you read this post its got very little to do with travel, its more about using your money wisely, the travel bit is kind of irrelevant personally I would pay off my c/c and spend on them when you get to where you are going, therefore you wont loose money having to cash in money which you havent spent overseas.

Simple really, or stick with dubloons

    Ooooo and hello pup!!!!

    All the best
