  • I can confirm this as I've just done it. Strangely though it doesn't mention that the BT is free for the first 6 weeks. Why? You would have thought they would use it to get people to take up the card :confused:

  • I applied the other night & the 6 week business was clearly noted. Shame about the letter I got from them this morning declining my custom!

    Did they invite you to appeal their decision? If so, I'd recommend doing so. I successfully appealed by writing a brief letter and enclosing 3 months bank statements. I also told them (truthfully) about my savings and mortgage details.

    I have to say though, that in overturning their decision, they did nothing to improve their reputation for being an irresponsible lender - because I wouldn't have given me a credit card with my levels of (stoozing) "debt". ;)

    I've posted on here before that I'd been told by the manual underwriters at LTSB that they "regularly" decline credit card applicants who don't have a LTSB current account.

    Definately worth appealing in my opinion - and they didn't even credit search me again before accepting me!
