please can i have some advice.
I currently had a pine kitchen with dark worktop which i want to update (even thought house is only 4 yrs old) because it feels dark.
Where is a good place to get cheap kitchen doors? i have heard of people gettig seconds etc can you get them online?

if the doors are in good condition, then i would prob keep them for a while longer. just changing the worktops, should lighten up the room, and will be alot cheaper than doing everything. if the pine isnt to your taste though, it is really easy to paint, to give a brighter finish
B&Q did have doors in their sale, but they might not fit your carcasses.

The kitchen door companies seem to be really expensive.
I would paint them - lots of primer and a couple of layers of decent paint with a low sheen and it will look fabulous - very up to date indeed and last you a while longer. I'm going to be painting my interior doors in Farrow & Ball Interior Eggshell - just did my Front Door today in Exterior Eggshell and it looks fab Use a mini roller instead of a paintbrush for a smooth finish. Then replace the worktops, tap, sink perhaps and it will look like a new kitchen!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

have a look at this site http://www.doors.homestylekitchens.co.uk havnt used them but they seem very reasonable priced0

The B+Q sale has some kitchen doors at £1 each, which you've probably seen already. If your quick you can still order these instore. People have saved a fortune on these.
ALso worktops from IKEA are cheap enough, cheaper than B+Q, so are the cabinet handles.0

I'd definitely try painting the pine first. Are the walls, wall tiles or flooring dark? I'd change those before changing the worktop. If it's moulded with an integral sink - then it was pricey in the first place - unless you just mean an inset sink with a lip above the worktop.
Apart from the pine and the worktop; what colour is everything else in the kitchen?I write blogs about kitchens ... and I design kitchens for a living ... I just love kitchens!0

The B&Q sale requires that you buy the carcasses as well as the doors.0

 No it doesn't
My aunt's bought loads - scoured several different branches for the right sizes. It's an off the shelf product usually.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Actually, although that might be the rule, some stores aren't applying it. Just come back from Wednesbury B&Q at J9 M6, absolutely TONS of people were coming out with piles of kitchen doors so we had a look. Only went in there for a few bits and ended up buying doors for our utility that should have cost over £200, for £20!! (including two full height double door units!!)
Some of the basic doors are £1, but there are also lots more at £2 (maple-style shaker) and £5 (as were our chocolate oak veneer ones, really nice!). I wanted to buy lots to sell on but OH wouldn't allow!!:o
Tiny word of warning - almost all door sizes are included but be careful to check as they've been a little 'sneaky' and a few aren't (eg in our style the 600 drawer front doors were included, but not the plain doors, that sort of thing).
 Happy saving :j0

If you are going down this route(B&Q doors that is) make sure the hinge spacings are the same or they wont fit your cabinets without some alterations.0
