£47???
Think I'd rather play scrabble on my own for entertainment than pay that amount. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -
How on earth do you justify paying that? Is watching TV all that you do? Sky must now be the least value for money service of any kind on the market.0

we've just had the same letter. We dropped the movies from our full package as we never use to watch them. We do find that sky tends to repeat itself quite a lot. Only ever watch the sports channels and UK gold!! Is quite a waste!!:T0

to be honest i cant justify that im going to get rid of the movies and sky sports. i also have another sky+ box in the bedroom which i pay an Extra £10.00 a month for. so infact im paying £57.00 a month really need to do something about that though, did not really think about it before i had the new prices come through my door. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
I'n the current crunch its time to start cutting back...I rarely watch sports or movies and have just started a 90 day lovefilm trial.
Will cut back to 4 mixes I thinkDebt Free Marathon: Start 01/06/09 £16714 - Current Position £14514 - Finish Line Xmas 20100 -
i had sky when we moved to where we do as we got a poor terestial reception, and a digi box there was no reception , i do not subscribe to anything canelled all that after a few months to be honest there is plenty to watch on the free channells and winter is when we watch most tv , £500plus saved every year can be spent on spmething a little more exciting than tv i would have thought .i would tell them your not going to bother .0

that went well just called sky told them i want i wanted to cancel due to there high charges.
now paying £19.00 a month and have sky1 and things like that music and childrens. oh that not all they also have given me a discount on my 2nd box subscription now only pay £5.00 a month for that. so just saved myself the best part of £400 a year. i could get use to this saving money thingy lol. LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -
oh also forgot to say i could hear someone in the back ground shouting we are behind on our YTD target. in my company YTD means Year to date target so they seem to be having a push on retaining cutomer:beer: LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0

We reduced our sky package last night from the full package (currently £45) to having just 3 of the options so we're now paying just £18. When they asked why we were reducing it we told them that we first got sky because we couldn't afford to go for evenings out so it was a good way to keep us entertained in the evening for a reasonable amount (was £32 when we first joined), but they've put their prices up by such a rediculous amount over the last 3-4 years we couldn't even afford the sky now!
What I found really amusing is tey then offered us the full package for half price for the next 3 month providing that we agreed to sign up for a brand new 12 month subsciption of the full package when it ran out!!!! Do these people not listen to you at all, since when does I can't afford it any more mean: I can't afford it now but I'll be so much better off for sure in 3 months (maybe he can predict the future...should I start playing the lottery do you think???:D).0 -
