capital one debit card payment - problems!!

Has anyone had problems this month???? I have paid my bill (in full) via debit card online last week and it's still showing outstanding although it's been taken from my bank account Monday. I called today and they say there is a system fault with these transactions and they are looking into it. My payment has been approved but not cleared. It's due 29th so I'm getting a bit worried now.
Anyone else had a problem or is it not a 'system fault' for everyone??
I did ask about when it should be resolved but he was very vague, any ideas as to what I can do next. I have sent a secure mesage too but without reply as yet.

Wait until it’s an issue worth worrying about. You paid online, that’s all you needed to do – end of your obligations. Any problems are theirs and for them to sort out, may be they’ll process it in time, may be they won’t, if they don’t they may not add any charges because of their problems, may be they will, if they do call them and give them an earful

This is the first CC I have had for 15years and I'm quite nervous about credit, and this problem with clearing just adds to that. I know stupid but after 15 years of repaying debt hell it's not surprising.
