Many thanks for all of this - I have decided to open an ISA where I will put my current savings, and pay monthly into this until it reaches £3, 600 (I think I will just go for the HSBC one as my current acc is with them and it will be easiest option) - I will also open a Kaupthing savings account I think to put monthly payments into after this as the ISA tax-free allowance should be reached quite soon.0

I just had to ring Kaupthing up to find out how to register my account for gross tax as I couldn't find it on their site. The CS answered promptly and were very helpful, so that's a good start!Debbie0
