Old Sofas

Does anyone know a good and cheap way of disposing of an old sofa? It could still be used but is looking a bit tired after 8 years of cat abuse!! Are there any charities that have a need for these sort of things?

I don't think many charities would take one in that condition. I've just thrown one out - waiting for the council to come and pick it up. There's a small fee for getting rid of it but we needed them to take some other stuff too and it's all included.

Someone on freecycle might be very glad of it, but having looked into it, it's cheaper to buy a new one than it is to reupholster a cat pooked one!
