Dont about you, but our towels is'nt exactly soaking wet after we use it to dry.
Maybe you could just invest on some nice fluffy ones to soak up all the water but does'nt leave it soakimg wet, similar to those Christy ones.

I got mine in the January sales from Debenhams and Argos use to sell Christy Towels for BOGOF dont know if they still do them though.

No you are, it's just you've found a matching friend ;) :rotfl:
I got them off Ebay last year and they weren't very expensive either! They're about 5ft x 6ft and plenty big enough to wrap you from head to toe

Good grief I'm only 5' 2" !! I want one, I could cut it in half and have two!!!!

OP - you'd hate me, I wash my hair (long) and wrap it straight into a towel dripping wet, towel takes forwever to dry, give it to OH to use..... :rotfl: !!!!

I'm with you on that one :D

We've got a couple of sooper dooper sized bath sheets that come out in winter so we can step out of the bath/shower and wrap up every inch of bare flesh to keep warm while we dry ;)

Me too ,there are some things I ain't giving up even if it is moneysaving :D

In the winter I get everyone to "dry" themselves with a face flannell first-then, when they dry themselves with a towel it is not left soaking wet. In the winter, this saves a lot of washing and drying. My mother taught me this as we had neither washer nor dryer. :j

Hubby does this...I think he's dead weird:p. Why stand getting cold wiping off cooling water with a cold flannel? What is the point of a towel if not for drying oneself?? Personally I looovveeee getting out of the bath and putting on a nice warm toweling robe which dries me whilst I faff around doing bathroom bits & bobs, and the robe dries nicely in a couple of hours on the hot water tank. I don't wash it after every bath....does that make me dirty:confused::eek::p:rolleyes::D

I use a hand towel if I'm not washing my hair. (In which case I need the big towel because my hair is very long.)

We use a VERY small hand towel when we're camping...and that's using those outside showers....with all the doors and windows open....in October!!!

You're all so soft! Then again I'm up north

Me too! I usually need a minimum of a bath towel to wrap it up in, and even than I still have some hanging out! I actually cut around 6in off the bottom this morning and it's still way down past my waist!

It was badly in need of a trim though as I haven't seen a hairdresser in over a year :o

Alternative "towel-saving" idea for winter: wash less! Since it's colder, you won't smell so quickly :p

I had the two rads in my bathroom replaced (they needed it, anyway, they were v old and inefficient) with some fabulous towel-hanging radiators, so we always have warm towels to cuddle into - there's nothing better than a warm towel after a shower or a bath!

We choose full wall-height radiators, so there's oodles of hanging space - not just for towels, but also for drying other wash in winter, or when we have a particularly wet summer.

Lillibet ... you've save my sanity!

I have a big fluffy bath robe which I put on when I get out the shower/bath, by the time I've wiped down everything in the bathroom, I no longer need to use a towel or leave one damp/wet.
The robe is hung on the airing cupboard door (inside) and ready when I need it again.

No one else have robes???

I *had* a lovely big white fluffy towelling one, which DS seems to have claimed as his own recently

My theory is that if I put a robe on after a bath/shower then I'll just stay in it until next bath/shower time :o ... so if I use a towel I'm more encouraged to get actually get dressed once I'm dry ;)
