Ethernet drivers missing?

Options
I have a wireless router that I am trying to setup. Problem is
that it connects to my PC via ethernet and my ethernet card
drivers are missing.

Does anyone know how I can get the drivers required?

I have tried updating via microsofts inbuilt wizard but it
doesn't work.

Ok, just used a driverscan from driverguide.com and
it tells me the ethernet device is

    ULi M5263 Fast Ethernet Controller

But I can't find a driver for it.

Apparently it's the chipset that some asus motherboards use. Probably best to find out your motherboard and download it from the asus (or whoever's) website.

Driver Here. Realtek RTL8201CL 10/100mbps LAN

If you require further information about your Motherboard, Run CPU-Z.

Thanks for that, only problem now is that package contains
dozens of different files and executables and I don't know
    which to use.

I think if you run the add hardware wizard again, then identify the ? symbol for the network card, and point it to the directory where you uncompressed the zip file. It should pick it up.

Nope, that doesn't work. Just say's wizard cannot find
    the necessary software.

    Any more ideas?

Suggest you run winsetup.exe or asussetup.exe and see what happens.

Failing that, perform what you did before, but point the wizard to the RTL8201CL/winsetup folder. That way it should pick up the NTSetup.inf file and install ok.

Ok, open CONTROL PANEL and open SYSTEM.

    Then click on HARDWARE tab.

    Click on DEVICE MANAGER.

Look for the ? symbol, this should be the network card. Double click it, then click on DRIVERS tab. Then UPDATE DRIVERS, click on "Yes, now and everytime I connect a device" then click on "install from list or specific location", and point it to the directory where you uncompressed the files (or it might even be WINSETUP directory under that).
