in Credit cards
I went to the bank and was accepted for a 10k CC, but chose to get it online as the offer was better - advance CC - 5.5 for life of balance as suppose to 6.9% in the bank. I got rejected, which the ladies in the bank as well as me found really weird - due to the fact that my bank credit score approved my application for 10k, can any1 explain why i got rejected online if i was accepted in the bank?????????
thanks

Did you apply for some other credit recently besides your application in the bank? If so, this application was, probably, 'the last straw' - just a guess ...

No, not weird at all, my bank will give me a £1K overdraft and a £7K loan but won't give me a £1K credit card."I Assume I Need No Introduction"0

Let me get this right. You applied for a [LTSB] Advance card in the bank and were accepted. You then went home and applied for the same Advance card over the internet and were rejected. Is that correct ? If so, that does not surprise me in the slightest. To be accepted in the bank, they must have done a credit check. To apply online, they would also have done a credit check and would have seen that you have already been accepted for a card. Hence a rejection. They won't let you apply twice for the same card.

A credit check in no way means that you have been offered a card.
Alirob would only have been 'offered' the card; to 'accept' it he/she would have to have signed the application form.Ethical moneysaver0
