One property had it rents put up and is still showing as available to rent. The 22 June date is the first date I found it.

That is so weird, I have just been looking at those exact same properties to see if my brother could get more rooms for his money.
The last entry for the one bedroom house.....hmmm.
The Stormont properties are actually just outside Felixstowe in Trimley St Mary, they were completed as new builds a year ago (almost exactly!) and have been up for sale since but with no takers (don't suppose it helped they were way way overpriced for 3 beds here) ...seems they are now trying to rent them out. Also the listing is wrong...they are actually town houses!
Must admit the first property you mention seems like a good find and was the one I was going to suggest to my brother to look at.
Edit - The 5 bedroom town house...eeeekkkk parking is a nightmare and it's not the best area in the world. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
I will have a look at the others to see exactly where they are located and will revert ASAP.The last entry for the one bedroom house.....hmmm.
The highest rent we charge on our one bedders is at the moment £435 per month, so I do not believe that they would achieve £475.

Sue you are right they are way over priced, no local would pay anything near what they wanted, right on the very busy main road near to the school.
It becomes a rat run in the morning with traffic having to dodge past illegalily
parked cars. Also the rent that they want to achieve is way over the top for that area.

I knew I'd find it if I could be rsed. May 08 CPI figures:
Rents up 0.1% Apr-May '08
Rents up 3.4% May '07-May'08
So as I thought, nominal rents up and real rents down.
I'm not sure where this idea comes from that LLs or tenants can set rents in isolation from the other party in the market in which they are operating. If you're a LL and you want to be rich try setting the rent at £1mio/month. If you're a tenant tell your LL you're prepared to pay a quid a month.
This is one of those arguments that can be demonstrated in extremis.0 -

Given the current weather (at least where I am) I suggest a visit to the local cricket ground with some good company, a decent bottle of white wine, an excellent picnic and a cushion for an after lunch snooze for that dull bit in a cricket game between about 2.15 and 3.30pm.
It might just calm your !!!!!!-a-phobia a little.0 -

I am a Landlord. Yes LLs can do whatever they please, but if they think they are going to pass on all their rising costs to their tenants, then their tenant will move.
I wonder if some of these LLs have a business plan or just assumed there would be continual HPI, low lending, low unemployment and mass immigration.
Just pass their costs onto their tenants:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
