Is my wall load bearing?

hello there

i live in a teneament in scotland on the second floor and i need to find out if a wall
in my flat is load bearing or not.

I went down to the neighbours below to look at their layout and its the same as mine, i lifted up the flooring in my flat to expose the floor boards and they were perpendicular to the wall i want to knock

I read on this site to find out if the wall was structural then i would have to check
the floorboards above the wall ,i am assuming that if my floorboards are perpendicular then the same wall below is not structural so mine should not be structural either??

does that make sense??

If the floorboards are going the same way as the wall then the joists go the other way,and could be resting on the wall, but,if they go the other way dont take it forgranted that the wall is not load bearing. It could be supporting the wall in the flat above. The best way is to actually take some ceiling down and have a look, your'e going to be making a mess anyway so it won't matter.
