in Credit cards
I saw Martin a few weeks ago on his channel 5 show. I have a credit card balance of approx £5k with M&s, currently paying 18.9% interest.
I had already applied for an interest free rate card to use for purchases. When it was approved, the credit limit was really low, like £2.3k. I saw on this site the new Abbey Zero card and applied, my intention being to tfer the M&S balance to it, but to pay it off and put no more on the card.
We were refused the card by Abbey -my first time ever - does the fact that we have just remortgaged with them have a bearing on this?
Should I apply elsewhere for another card?
I don't want to have too many searches on my credit record.
Over to you guys - any advice or help appreciated.

It could be LOOBYLOU or you may have to much available credit as a pecentage of income but the only people that really know are Abbey.
How many searches in last 3 months? if 4 or more wait awhile perhaps 6 weeks0 -
and get as much as you can shifted onto the card you did get! something at 0% is better than nothing.0
