    It's a two bedroom apartment, and the add says both are double bed size.

    you only see one bedroom in the advert.

    This second bed could be from the other room, maybe it's been decorated? or had been used as something else?

    You can just about fit three people in a normal double bed without falling out or wanting to kill someone for stealing blankets / elbowing you / snoring in your ear (experience from sleepover situations) but four would be pushing it unless you were all *really* skinny.

    Maybe two couples live there and they're really friendly? ;) Or it's normal in some non-English culture to have furniture like that and we just haven't seen a room in that layout before?

    yes, yes, we have accepted that, but I still think the rik of someone falling down the crack is too great....

    four friendlies fit just fine in a bed (I'm imagining ;) ) and for more I [STRIKE]have always[/STRIKE] would have thought a well cushined floor was better than pushed up beds.:cool:

    Is it? well, I look forward to finding out who! I still think this is a really odd way to present a house in sales photos :o in a culure where this is not the norm.
