A&L Moneyback card (1%)

I've just seen this card and it's giving 1% cashback up to £20,000 spending per year. Why isn't this given on the credit card cashback article? Is there something wrong with it?

OK, that link isn't gonna work, you'll need to cut and paste the whole thing into your browser.

Even cutting and pasting doesn't work. Try starting here and then clicking on "Find out more".
The cashback sounds good but I'd avoid using it for anything else. The APR is 18.9% and goes up to 21.4% for balance transfers and the minimum balance to be paid each month is slightly above average at 2.25%. But as long as you pay it off in full each month the cashback sounds attractive.0 -
Ah - just found a catch in the T&C:1% MoneyBack earned on transactions made at MoneyBack partners.0
-
1% with partners, 0.5% elsewhere, so unless using partners alot, not the best cashback card.0

Strange. The marketting hype says "Reward yourself with up to 1% MoneyBack - on everything you buy up to £20,000 per annum. Typical rate 18.9% APR (variable) on card purchases. "
I didn't realise you could lie in an advert as long as you had the truth in your small print. My business is gonna do wonders with that idea :-)

They are not really lying, because they say UP TO 1%."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

It's those two little words "up to".
I'm now very suspicious whenever I see them.0 -
yes I investigated this the other day... very misleading
however it's not a bad card if you pay it off every month and use their partners.0 -
Just edited my post as BP are no longer a moneyback partner of the A&L CC0
