just about to accept but thought i'll read the Ts N Cs.
" A Processing Fee of $29.95 will be charged for the cancellation of any one-year annual package"
Wondering if this applies to the deal, i think it does though0 -

Am I missing something, it says it is free with a purchase of a annual hosting package? (At nearly $120)
So surely you have to pay for the hosting to get the domain free?
Even if you do get the domain free.. Don't register something you want to renew, as renewal fees are $34.99 a year for a .com domain without hosting!
When you can get it for under $10 elsewhere!
Plus is that a referral link?
There is a catch either way.. not for me.. but thanks!0 -
I entered a false second name and a made up address AND used my savings account card which cant be charged to register and get my free domain then i hosted it on my own server for free and then deleted my card details from my account.
Now i have a free domain and they have a false name, address and no way of getting payment.
Real consumer revenge! :P
Once the domain is due for renewal just register it again under a different name and address! it really works! If you like my posts, please thank me :beer:0 -

It wont really work like that.. There will be a period that your page will have expired, and in holding time before it becomes available for purchase again, and a lot of companies register sites that have expired (that have traffic) for their own gain, they put adverts etc on them. Unless you renew your domain before it expires, there is no guarantee that you will be able to purchase it again, and seeing how cheap domains are, and how big a business internet advertising is, the chance is pretty slim.0 -

But its different for me, i already own the .co.uk version for my domain name and got the .com for free so i dont care if it expires or if they take it off me.
I simply use it as an extension of my websites domain, it makes my brand more powerful for 2 years then if someone else buys it i can force them to surrender it as i have a legal copyright on the name.If you like my posts, please thank me :beer:0 -

Not so bad with you then, as you have something to fall back on, as long as the .com is not the main domain you give out etc. and you dont mind downtime when it expires.
Have you ever been involved in a domain custody battle? Its not as quick and easy as it sounds, and its usually the registrars themselves that register them when they expire, and being UK based, you havent always got the right to the .com address. (from personal experience)0
