nintendo products can't see the wifi router

Options
Can anyone help with a really annoying router problem
Situation is Computer 1 cabled to router for broadband, Computer 2 has adapter thing so is connected wireless to router, Xbox360 cabled direct to router, Nintendo Wii and 2 x DS have built in wireless but cannot see the router anymore.

both the two computers and the xbox 360 have internet access no problems but for some reason all 3 nintendo consoles have now dropped the connection and will not connect - says no compatable access point which is stupid as it has been working for ages (aprox a year) prior to last week with no problems. We've checked all the wep keys and all is correct. The DS does see the access point but then when you try to connect it gives the error message.

My thought was maybe the router has broken and needs replacing but if that is the case why does computer 2 still connect wireless with no problems.

Any help would be gratefully received before I go and buy a new router which might not be needed.

What kind of router is it? I had a D-Link wireless router that was just appalling with my Wii & DS but yet worked perfectly with my other consoles/computers. When I replaced it with a BT Homehub I got free they both worked fine!

The DS can't do WPA, only WEP. The Wii will happily do WPA though. IF you're set to WEP then it just sounds to me like the settings are wrong.

You don't happen to have MAC Address filtering configured on the router by any chance.

Locks out any unauthorised user, but could be locking out the Nintendo devices too (unless they're added to the list of authorised devices that can connect through the router)

we do have mac address filtering and have authorised each device to connect. the router is linksys and the wierd thing is that it was all working fine up to a few weeks ago.

We didn't do aything different just tried to go to the Wii virtual console shop site and it wauld not connect to the router. The DS's also both were fine. I just tried my DS to see if that was ok when the Wii wouldn't connect and found I had the same problem with the DS as well.
