Help Needed Re Kitchen Unit Doors

I am doing a kitchen refurb new worktops, sink etc.
I have bought doors slight seconds for £3 each all sizes place closing down in a few months the doors are like this.
The problem I have is I got the last 300mm doors in the cream and a couple of them are not as smooth around the grooved bit.
If i used a fine grade sand paper on them my problem is what has been used to paint them with in the factory so I could paint just in the goove to match the rest of the door.
Any ideas anyone please

You would be better using wire wool in the groove as it will shape itself to the profile. As for painting,i doubt you would get a colour to match perfectly so i would think long and hard before i started removing the paint finish. Can't you live with it as it is?0
