McFly are not a rip-off of Busted. McFly frontman Tom Fletcher co-wrote several of Busted's hits!! McFly's sound has also moved on and matured since those early days, as their fourth studio album will no doubt demonstrate. Enjoy.“Official Company Representative

McFly's new single "One for the Radio" is expected to be number 1 in the charts this weekend :j
For any fans going to their show in a few days time.....have a brilliant time!0 -
I saw them in Sheff a couple of Christmas's ago, free gig in town centre.
They were class, good showmen as well. Fair enough they appeal to kids, but its all money ain't it!0 -
I disagree also. I liked them both but seen busted live when I took my daughter then seen McFly at live n loud and they were very diff. Just cause they are young lads with guitars does not meen they are the same.
BUSTED were really rock at the concert far more than I expected anyway.
But more of a busted fan due to the rocking..
Glad of the tip will get it for my daughter now as she still likes them .0 -
I'm 38 (why should I need to say this), but I do like McFly and liked Busted too. I don't like all of the tracks either of them have released, but I like some of them a lot so overall I'd say they're a positive influence to the current music scene.
Now as money savers, I'm amazed no-one has mentioned just why McFly are able to give away their new album (one which they believe is better than any they have released before) in a Sunday newspaper. It is because they have been brave enough to go it alone rather than stay in thrall to a major music-publisher. They've set up their own label which is why they are able to sell their music directly in this way. As the group also own the distribution channel, this means that they will get much more of any retail sales which will allow them to lower costs and still make more money.
The big music labels are dreading this sort of thing becoming more common because it will mean the end of them, and their making large profits out of the artists they've signed. McFly are helping lead the way into a new form of music distribution where the customer and artists aren't divided by corporate music-labels which keep most of the money that changes hands.
The end result of this will be cheaper music for us, and more money for the guys who created it. Oh, and no money for the money-grabbing fat-cats at big record-labels, and no money for the RIAA who are paid for by the record-labels, and who try to criminalise people who enjoy music.0 -
McFly are playing at Oakwood theme park in West Wales today. in about 20 mins to be truthful. There were still tickets available last time I looked.0

Cheers Martin - if only the rest of MSE Towers would bow to their greatness!
Are you on work experience at MSE?
I thought I was the only person over 18 to like them - and thats because I have been badly influenced by a teenage daughter so at least I have an excuseSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
For all McFly fans......I've done a post in the Competitions Section about winning a Gold Disc signed by the band :j0
