in Techie Stuff
Hello,
I need the advice of the techie folk on this forum.
I have a problem with a Tiscali email address. Up until recently, both myself and my father used Tiscali as our broadband provider. When I tried to cancel my account they cancelled my father's by mistake. I'm trying to sort out the mess now and am being told that, while my father can re-register his account with Tiscali and received a bonus £15 due to the gaffe by Tiscali (how generous) he will not be able to have the same email address. The major problem is that his Tiscali email address is the one he uses for his business. I've tried to reason with the good people at Tiscali but their unflexible customer service staff insist there is no way whatsoever that this email address can be resurrected.
Does anybody on the forum know if there is a way around this? If he signs up for a new account, is there an email redirecting tool on the web some that will allow him to keep receiving emails addresses to his previous account?
Thanks,
Lenny Junior!

Only Tiscali will be able to do that.
To stop it happneing again he may want to consider buying his own domain name and using that for his mail. Fasthosts, 1&1 and many others will have a cheap package he can sign up forIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0
