I was declared BR at noon today, fely really ill this morning at the thought of what was to come. Young lady (Abby) was very kind and helpful, the judge was also kind and considerate asking if I was aware of implications etc.
I too have to await contact from OR but at least the 1st hurdle is passed. thanks all for the info I have received here!:T

    Hi Sandy

Welcome Honey....you kept your BR quiet!!! Glad it all went well for you . Its really nice when someone who has been lurking tells us that they have found help here & then has the nerve to post & tell us.

The first post is the toughest but glad you could join us!! Any questions re OR then ask away & someone will always help...even if it is just a few words to help calm the nerves.

    Hiya!

Thank you for your replies, it's a great feeling, I CAN NOW ANSWER THE PHONE! lol

The phone rang today, it was an 0845 number, Barclays. I went to answer and thought right I'll have to tell them and it went dead lol. All the other times I've answered by mistake there was always someone there lol.

And it's great opening letters :)
Me before I found this forum  And me after going through BR with everyone's help :j
  • Isn't it! The dread has gone completely! I don't mind popping back to old address to pick up mail now, used to leave it for weeks before and there was piles.

Hi Abby, great news, I hope you are starting to feel good too, keep us informed about OR. My interview is on Friday.

I think that shows just how much these Companies insist on harrassing their customers!! If they were a little more understanding & helped their customers who are in difficulty then we would not feel like not answering.

Funny but there is supposed to be a code....I think its called the `BANKING CODE` that sets out that they should help & empathise clients when in financial difficulties!!! Yeah right!!!!
