Laser Eye Surgery

I won one of these earlier in the year and went along to the consultation. The consultation doesn't cost anything ( you have to pay £30 but it gets refunded even if you decide not to go ahead. ) The doctor doing the consultation is nothing to do with the marketing, and doesn't know if you are getting a freebie or paying, so gives impartial advice.
I only needed one eye doing, because I have one good and one bad eye, so there was no pressure to pay to have the second eye done. (although if both eyes are similar, I would consider paying for the second one. )
Although they assume you will have the consultation and treatment on the same day, you can ask for 2 separate appointments on different days to give you time to go away and think about it, and they are quite happy for you to do this.
In my case, the consultant advised against going ahead with the more expensive treatment because of my job, which goes to show they're not just in it for the money. From my own experience, I'd say go along and have the consultation - you've got nothing to lose. If it wasn't for the risk from my job, I'd have definitleey had it done.
Anyone else who's won, have a look at the links in this thread.

I had my eyes done by Optimax a couple of months ago - paid for with Tesco clubcard points - best thing I've ever had done - wish I'd done it years ago. I'd thoroughly receomend it. PM me if you want all the gory details of my surgery.0

my pm box is full, would you mind spilling all on here? lol!!
i am just wondering which method you went for, and how much it hurt during and afterwards.
i don't have enough to get it done yet - i don't even know how much it would be. so i was thinking perhaps i could go for the consultation and get an idea of what i want, then save up for it. do they let you do that?'bad mothers club' member 13
