£250 child's money

ok - Meghans recieved her £250 to invest and i have until she's 12 months to decided what to do - shes now 10 month old! - what the heck am i supposed to do!!! Ive heard they can invest it - but i dont want them to lose it - she already has a normal bank account so people put money in that one so wont be adding to the £250 and when i called Natwest etc they all said they'd send out lefleats but its all confusing!!!

its a cheque that has to be paid into a bank account and the bank invest it for ya - cant member the name of it, its late and im tired lol

It sounds like a Child Trust Fund. There is a sticky thread on CTF's near the start of the Savings Forum. Have a look through that for what others have already asked and answered.0

Work your way through this ... it's not really that difficult. You can either take out a cash CTF or an Investment one ..... but you need to get on with it otherwise the Govt will decide for you!
And open the .PDF file which is within the first couple of paras inside the link ... some relevant info there.
