NPower Price Fix 2011
Hi There,
I was looking at this last week and decided to go for it on Saturday morning, looked on Moneysupermarket.com as wanted to do dual fuel and get £30. However, this tariff didn't come up. I tried energyhelpline.com and it showed up there so i cut my losses on the cashback and signed up there, albeit with only £15 cashback.
I now hear talk that this tariff was pulled last week, if so, i am wondering wether my sign up on saturday morning will be honoured. As far as i'm concerned i signed a contract in good faith.
My pessimisitc side tells me i was too late and will soon recieve a "sorry mate" dear john letter in the post telling me i was too late.
Anyone know what the score is?
Cheers

My advice to you is to stay well away from the criminals who run NPower,
they have been cheating people out of thier money.
They are crooks, and the discount that are offering you is from money they have
stolen of other customers by fiddlinig their tarrifs.
So your really want to deal with a company like that?
Stay well away from them, they also use 'dubious' sales techniques and they are
being investigated for their cheating, which is likely to resultin a big fine and
hopefully imprisonment of thier directors, although in our crooked society they will
probably get away scot free.
Once a crook always a crook, they do not know how to run a business without
cheating people, they are run by despicable people, have nothing to do with them.
They are crooked dishonest cheats - the scum of the earth.
You will be better off with somoeone else, even if they appear to charge more,
NPowers business model relies upon cheating people.0 -
they still have this tariff fixed til 2011 on their website and are still honouring it0

You could move like I did to E.ON or rather E.CON the above quote applies to the !!!!!!!s at E.CON as well0 -

Yes the contract came through on Friday and all looks fine.
Having read above posters negative comments on NPower i've been reading about the "Gas sculpting" thread. I'm wondering if this technique is applied to those on fixed rate tariffs as well?

Poolprouk, have you received any other correspondence from npower since receiving your contract?
I signed up online via uswitch, to the npower price fix 2011 on 19 June. My contract from npower duly arrived dated 24 June confirming I'd entered into the contract with them online on 19 June for both gas and electricity. I'm already with npower for electricity. I came home yesterday from a few days away to open a letter from npower dated 9 July stating that as I already get electricity from them they've deleted the recent contract:mad:
I phoned them this morning to be told they were going to switch my gas to them on 5 AugustWhen I explained the situation the customer service lady told me she thinks they pulled this tariff on 16 June. So why have they sent contracts out to us after that date? She typed out a message expaining the situation to pass on to whoever and I should receive a letter within 3 weeks saying yes or no. I'll push this further if they refuse to accept the original date.
