Cheap-ish bike travel Glasgow.

Scuzzy Glasgow
So you've come to Glasgow and the weather's looking reasonable.
Maybe you've got a few days in town and some time to explore the wider area, so a low cost bike would be handy?
Leave your valuables at your accommodation and head down to Paddy's Market at the Briggait, slightly East of the town centre near the river. Really it's just a lane and some railway arches in the shadow of the High Court with some sharp traders, but maybe you'll meet some of the more challenged and less included folk rummaging in the wares.. It's not exactly a flea market, but then again there's some reasonable second hand clothes in the arches and you could probably buy a working second hand bike for £15-£20.

That said, you might buy a Glasgow bus rover ticket for about £3.20. But then again, you can't sell your bus ticket at the end of the visit.
If the weather's poor, there's always cheap theatre in the public galleries at Glasgow Sheriff Court (generally not as gruesome as the High Court).

Now the obverse - we're heading to Bournemouth for a long weekend, so is there anything similar at Sandbanks?
And oblige,
NMcN

If by second hand you mean stolen, like most other stuff at paddy's. :)
They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it
