Hi,
I have been trying to burn some music onto discs from itunes. I have never had a problem before, but now it is throwing up "unknown error 4450". I have no idea what this is, does anyone know and what to do to resolve it?
Many thanks in advance

I came across issue on the Apple Support pages, the advice given was
1.) Burn at a lower speed (go to your iTunes preferences to adjust)
2.) Make sure your running the latest iTunes
3.) Try a different brand of cd
though a few others fixed the problem byNaked_Faith

I had this same problem too. My pc just stopped burning discs. I tried all the complicated stuff. Burn speed, driver updates, itunes updates, diff cd brand, you name it. Even couldnt burn a disc in windows media player. You know what finally fixed it for me? running a cd lens cleaner disc in the cd drive. THE LENS HAD SOME DIRT ON IT- GO FIGURE. I even called apple for help to no avail! I can't believe it was the simplest answer for me. What triumph! $2 laser lens cleaner cd.... hooray!!!!

I was also experiencing this same error message and it is was frustrating because I've never had any problem until now. I was initially using a Maxell CD-R. On 2/1/06 I spoke with an ITunes support person and they said try a different CD. I then tried a Verbatim CD-RW and it worked perfectly. Good Luck.
