Dead TV + desks and chairs - How do I get rid of them?

Hi moneysavers,
We're just about to move out of our rented accommodation, and have some desks and desk chairs which are in reasonable condition (so in theory someone else could have them) plus a TV which is broken.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the cheapest ways to get these things out of the property one way or another?
Thank you my lovelies!

For the desk and chairs you could try advertising in the free local paper or fridayfreead (magazine and website at http://www.friday-ad.co.uk/) or ebay with buyer collects.
You could try the Salvation Army...they had my parents old orange and brown kitchen units years ago...they turned up with a soup kitchen van to pick them up!
For the broken TV and whatever won't shift stick them in the boot of your car and take to the local council's rubbish tip. Most councils have bulky item collections.. though you usually have to pay.

+1 for Freecycle. You would be surprised what tat you can get rid of through Freecycle. The next village to ours hosts very popular Freecycle days - much like a car boot sale but nothing is for sale, it is just to give away.0
