e-on are going to stop selling price protection version 15 as of midnight wed night/thurs morning.

this will be replaced by version 16 from thursday onwards so if you want to cap at the lower v15 prices you have to do it quick.

the percentage increase between v15 and v16 has yet to be announced but as soon as i know anything i'll update.

I can confirm this just having spoke to customer services.
They did not know anything at first when I mentioned it to them but they rang me up about an hour later to confirm the capped plans were being pulled at midnight tonight.

Must say customer service was very good when I phoned they answered my call within 2 seconds! plus very helpful and took time to calculate and go through all the various tariffs.

I am now in a pickle... go for CAPPED V15 or V2 tariff (only difference V2 you get energy monitor worth £40 and tied in until Oct 2009) or stay on my online energy saver plus 5.

If I go on capped then it will cost me £200 more per year based on my usage so if prices do not rise more than 20% I would be losing out and once I leave my current tariff I will not be able to go back on it again!
But if what the experts say is true and there will be an expected increase of upto 40% this winter then obviously going capped would be better!!!

    What to do....!
