IB & Pension

Options
Hello - I posted this on the Benefits board but maybe someone here can help??
This is for a friend. Please could someone confirm what happens when you reach pension age - do you continue to receive IB? A dear friend has been told by a relative that he will no longer receive IB when he receives his pension.
This person has a letter that confirming his heart condition he should receive it for life.
Many thanks
Morag

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

I was on long term incapacity benefit. I reached 60 in January (I'm female)and my IB was stopped and I went on to state pension (which is more than the IB was).
